Youth is the prime time
when one yearns to explore the world and discover new horizons. Yet it is also
a time when one’s purse strings are tight because you are financially dependent
on your parents or guardians.
The Working Holiday Visa in Australia gives you the perfect
opportunity to work to earn a living while you enjoy the sights of
Australia. This is an ideal opportunity
for cultural exchange and closer ties between participating countries.
Devisers, a leading and reputed
immigration service provider, guides young
travellers from participating countries to legally have an extended holiday in
Australia and earn money through short-term employment which may
be a full-time, part-time, casual, shift and
voluntary work.
Devisers will help you through the
procedures of either one of two types of Working Holiday Maker visas: Working
Holiday visa (Subclass 417) and Work and Holiday visa (Subclass 462).
Working Holiday visa (subclass 417)
is for youngsters at least 18 but not yet 31 years of age who want to holiday
and work in Australia for up to a year. You must have a passport from an
eligible country and must not have a dependent child accompanying you at any
time during your stay in Australia.
The Work and Holiday visa (Subclass 462) entitles one to stay in Australia for up to 12 months; work in Australia for
up to six months with each employer as well as study for up to four months. These
visas will enable you to leave and re-enter Australia any number of times
while the visa is valid.
Devisers will guide you as to your
need for a valid passport. If you plan to get a new passport, you should do so
before applying for your visa as your Australian working holiday visa is linked
to the passport number you use in your application.
Australia has reciprocal working holiday visa programs with many countries; a few
extra requirements are needed if you want to have an extended working holiday
in Argentina, Bangladesh, Chile, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Turkey, the USA
or Uruguay.
Devisers will help
you get an extension on your working holiday visa so that you may be able to
extend your stay for another 12 months with a second working holiday visa. To
be eligible you must have completed three months specified work in regional
areas of Australia while on your first Working Holiday visa.
